QualDerm Partners is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team in Monroe, NC. As a Dermatology Medical Assistant at our Monroe location, you will play a critical role in patient care and clinic operations. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by obtaining vital signs and detailed medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and dermatologic procedures by providing necessary support and equipment.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and manage specimen collection and handling.
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Schedule patient appointments and facilitate efficient communication within the practice.
- Educate patients about treatment plans, medications, and effective skincare routines.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with appropriate medical supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical healthcare environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly related to dermatology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information professionally.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and common office software applications is an advantage.
