Ontario County, County Administrator’s Office is looking for qualified applicants to fill a full-time Deputy County Administrator position in their office.Salary:  2026 – $145,496/yr.Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 3% deferred compensation match, NYS retirement pension, employee wellness programming, and generous leave provided.QUALIFICATIONS: County Values:  All employees of Ontario County are expected to uphold and exhibit the County’s shared values and behaviors to achieve the County’s Vision and Mission.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Either:1. Possession of a Master's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, Human Resources, Finance, or a closely related field and four (4) years of full time paid professional experience in a large and complex organization; OR2. Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, Human Resources, Finance or a closely related field and six (6) years of full time paid professional experience in a large and complex organization; OR3. A combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of numbers (1) and (2) above.SUBSTITUTION: Possession of a Juris Doctorate may be substituted for the specified Master’s Degree.SPECIAL NOTE: EDUCATION: Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the United States and its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency.
