Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the OD/ID grinding department, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled machinists, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Review and analyze production reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team updated on best practices and new technologies.
- Operate manual lathe machine
Qualifications
- Proven experience in OD/ID grinding operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Solid problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and quality control standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining or a related field
