    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Department Supervisor for OD/ID Grinding to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX, 77023. In this role, you will oversee the grinding department, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.     Responsibilities

    • Supervise daily operations of the OD/ID grinding department, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled machinists, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
    • Monitor equipment performance and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
    • Review and analyze production reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
    • Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and enhance overall operational efficiency.
    • Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team updated on best practices and new technologies.
    • Operate manual lathe machine

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in OD/ID grinding operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
    • Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and equipment.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
    • Solid problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
    • Familiarity with safety protocols and quality control standards in a manufacturing environment.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining or a related field
