APM Terminals
To lead engineering-driven operational excellence across depot equipment, maintenance systems, and cost optimization initiatives, while supporting digitalization (CMMS/EAM), sustainability goals, and uptime improvement of critical assets.
Key Responsibilities
A. Asset Performance & Reliability
Own end-to-end asset lifecycle management of depot equipment (Reach Stackers, Trucks, Yard Equipment, etc.)
Drive OEE improvement through:
Preventive & predictive maintenance planning
Breakdown reduction programs
MTBF / MTTR tracking
Ensure >95% equipment availability through strong execution discipline
B. Maintenance & CMMS/EAM Governance
Lead CMMS / EAM system adoption (work order creation, closure, cost tracking)
Strengthen:
Work order accuracy & closure timelines
Spare part consumption tracking
Maintenance history digitization
Ensure compliance with global maintenance standards & audit requirements
C. Cost Optimization & TCO Leadership
Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) initiatives:
Spare optimization
Vendor cost benchmarking
AMC & contract rationalization
Identify and execute cost-saving projects (₹/move impact)
Build MIS for:
Maintenance cost trends
Cost per equipment and per move
D. Vendor & Contractor Management
Manage OEMs, maintenance vendors, and service partners
Ensure:
SLA adherence
Repair quality
Cost efficiency
Lead vendor performance scorecards and periodic reviews
E. Safety & Compliance (HSSE Ownership)
F. Sustainability & Energy Transition
Support site-level initiatives on:
Diesel-to-electric transitions
HVO/Biofuel usage
Energy efficiency improvements
Track and report:
Fuel consumption per move
CO reduction initiatives
G. Process Improvement & Digitalization
Lead Kaizen / A3 projects focused on:
Downtime reduction
Process optimization
Drive digital initiatives:
Asset tracking
Automation workflows
Data-driven decision dashboards
H. Cross-Functional Coordination
