Deposit & Inventory Clerk

Location: West Covina, CA (On Site) | Type: Full Time | Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00

Norm Reeves Honda in West Covina is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Deposit & Inventory Clerk to join our team! This position plays an important role in supporting our accounting and sales departments by managing daily deposits, maintaining accurate vehicle inventory records, and processing vehicle-related transactions. 

The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working with numbers and data, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment. Experience with CDK and Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred.

What You'll Do:

• Collect daily payments from Sales, Service, Parts, and Finance departments.
• Verify cash, checks, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare daily bank deposits for armored guard pickup.
• Record and process deposit transactions in CDK.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in deposit records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with accounting schedules, reconciliations, and other duties as assigned by the Business Manager.
• Receive and verify deliveries of new and used vehicles, ensuring inventory records are accurate and up to date.
• Enter and maintain vehicle information in CDK and other dealership databases.
• Assist and maintain accurate accounting schedules related to vehicle inventory and transactions.
• Maintain organized vehicle inventory files 
• Assist with inventory reporting and complete other related administrative duties as needed

What You'll Need: 

• Previous automotive dealership experience is preferred.
• Experience with dealership accounting, cash handling, deposits, or vehicle inventory processing is a plus.
• Familiarity with CDK or another dealership management system (DMS) is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial transactions and vehicle information.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle confidential financial and business information professionally.
