Deployment Operations Manager

Type: Direct hire, full-time

Base: $129,000–$171,000 + equity

Clearance: Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret clearance

Travel: Up to 20%

VDS is recruiting a Deployment Operations Manager for a leading defense-technology company. You will own how one business line's hardware and software systems get shipped, installed, supported and brought home from sites around the world.

What you'll do

• Plan and run every deployment for your business line, from first shipment to final return.
• Coordinate growth, engineering and technical operations teams so field schedules hold.
• Write deployment plans and keep internal leaders and government customers informed.
• Lead a small team of operations and logistics associates.
• Find and fix process gaps using JIRA, NetSuite and Slack.

What you bring

• 5+ years in operations, logistics, supply chain or program management, with international work.
• A record of running several complex projects at once, ideally in hardware or manufacturing.
• Strong scheduling and people-leadership skills.
• Confidence working directly with customers and government personnel.
• Sound judgment when plans change quickly.
