The
Department
Mentor
will
support
communication
and
alignment
within
the
department.
This
role
involves
mentoring
new
teachers
within
the
department,
monitoring
and
maintaining
alignment
of
campus
initiatives,
goals,
and
communication
within
the
department.
The
Department
Mentor
will
receive
leadership
support
from
the
Instructional
Facilitator
and
report
to
the
Assistant
Principal/Principal.

through
collaborating
with

For
a
teacher
within
their

that
goes
on
FMLA,
the
Department
Mentor
coordinates
lesson
plans
and
grading.

Minimum
Qualications:
Content-based
certications
preferred
3+
years
in
content
area

Candidate

have
at
least
3
years
of
exemplary
teaching
experience,

minimum

procient
in
each
of
the
T-TESS
dimensions
or
out
of
state
equivalent
Educational
coaching
background
