Description

We are now seeking a Department Lead in a direct hire role for our client located inAnderson, SC.In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the in-house assembly department. As a working supervisor who can actively participate in high-level assembly, read complex industrial blueprints, enforce rigorous safety protocols, and manage project schedules. The Lead ensures that products meet quality thresholds before leaving the floor and that customer satisfaction is priority.  ResponsibilitiesProduction & Team Leadership
  • Coordinate Daily Workflows: Establish daily schedules, assign tasks to assemblers and ensure manufacturing targets are met. 
  • Mentorship & Training: Provide technical guidance, onboard junior technicians, and conduct regular skill evaluations to maintain standard operating procedures. 
Manufacturing & Technical Execution
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Review and interpret schematics, blueprints, and engineering diagrams to guide accurate build and layout requirements. 
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct pre-delivery inspections and final testing on machinery to verify electrical and mechanical specifications. 
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electromechanical issues during the production phase. 
Operations & Logistics
  • Project Tracking: Monitor timelines from the start of fabrication through to final customer handover, mitigating cost overruns or schedule delays. 
  • Inventory Control: Track material and tooling availability for upcoming jobs, collaborating with purchasing to eliminate supply shortages. 
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce OSHA regulations, internal safety rules, and proper PPE utilization in both the factory and on-site locations. 
 Qualifications & SkillsRequired Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial equipment manufacturing, fabrication
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or lead capacity, coordinating team schedules and workflows.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. 
Technical Skills:
  • Exceptional proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatic and electromechanical operating systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety regulations (OSHA). 
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs unaided.
  • Capability to stand, kneel, bend, and work for long periods
