Job Overview:
Pay Range: $20.00hr - $25.00hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of medical office experience preferred.
- Proficiency in scheduling, registration, and billing systems.
- Ability to handle prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine administrative and clerical duties relating to a clinical service or physician practice office.
- Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
- Assist callers with routine inquiries and schedule appointments.
- Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical records.
- Act as a lead user for scheduling, registration, and billing systems.
- Provide assistance and training to others in administrative areas.
- Perform complex or specialized functions such as surgical scheduling and schedule changes.
- Provide functional guidance to Office and Practice Assistants.
- Oversee the daily activities of practice staff in conjunction with the Supervisor.
- Accept co-payments as required.
- Handle, screen, and take messages related to clinical inquiries and administrative tasks.
