    We are seeking a motivated, organized, and compassionate Dental Treatment Coordinator or crosstrained Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. This dual-role position combines front office responsibilities with chairside assisting, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys both patient interaction and clinical support.

    The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, friendly, and comfortable multitasking while helping create an outstanding patient experience.

    Responsibilities

    Front Office Duties

    • Greet and check patients in/out while creating a welcoming experience
    • Schedule appointments and manage daily hygiene and treatment schedules
    • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
    • Submit insurance claims and assist with billing follow-up
    • Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and coordinate treatment scheduling
    • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software, including Open Dental
    • Present treatment plans and discuss financial arrangements when needed

    Clinical Dental Assistant Duties

    • Assist the doctor chairside using four-handed dentistry techniques
    • Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms following infection control and sterilization protocols
    • Take digital dental X-rays and maintain accurate documentation
    • Sterilize instruments and maintain operatory organization
    • Assist during restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, oral surgery, and general dental procedures
    • Support digital workflows including scanners, digital radiography, and modern dental technology
    • Educate patients by explaining procedures and post-operative instructions

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards
    • Monitor inventory and maintain organized supplies when needed
    • Help support a positive, team-oriented office culture
    • Cross-train and assist team members to maintain smooth office flow

    Qualifications

    • Prior dental office experience required
    • Experience with Open Dental preferred
    • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control standards
    • Ability to take dental X-rays (X-ray certification preferred or required per state regulations)
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
    • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
    • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
    • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
