Dental Treatment Coordinator - Advancement opportunity
About the Role Our busy and growing dental practice is seeking a self-motivated, organized Treatment Coordinator to join our front desk team
. In this role, you will be key to helping patients understand their care, presenting treatment plans, guiding financial options, and driving case acceptance to support the growth of our practice
.
Pay Rate: $26.00 – $32.00 / hour
Bonus Structure: Opportunities to earn monthly production/collection bonuses and incentive pay based on performance metrics
Job Type: Full-time, In-Office
Schedule:
Monday – Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Treatment Presentation & Case Acceptance
Educate patients on recommended dental treatments, oral health benefits, and risks of delaying care in a clear, non-pushy manner
.
Present treatment costs, navigate insurance benefits, handle financial objections, and arrange payment options to secure patient commitment
.
Guide patients through financing options and collect payments/copays accurately according to office protocols
.
Front Office & Patient Experience
Greet patients, manage check-in/check-out, and maintain a welcoming, high-quality patient experience
.
Answer incoming calls, perform insurance verifications, and schedule appointments to optimize provider calendars and patient flow
.
Collaborate with clinicians and the Office Manager to resolve operational issues and support practice growth initiatives
.
Cross-train to assist with broader front-office duties as needed
.
Key Performance Metrics
Achieve a patient treatment acceptance rate of 75% or higher
.
Maintain a monthly collection rate of 95%+ on patient balances and copays
.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required:
2+ years of experience in the dental field
.
Proven experience in dental treatment planning, case presentation, and insurance verification/estimation
.
Strong background in customer service, front office multitasking, and patient scheduling
.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds
.
Preferred:
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and ethical practice standards
.
Proficiency with practice management software, preferably Open Dental
.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
.
Strong math skills, detail orientation, and clear interpersonal communication
.
