    Job Announcement Flyer: Red Cliff HS Dental Therapist.pdf [pdf - 328.57 KB] Duties: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Conducting oral examinations and assessing patient dental health 2. Preparing and filling cavities to treat dental decay 3. Performing simple tooth extractions when necessary 4. Fitting temporary crowns and other basic restorative procedures. 5. Providing preventive care and oral health education to patients 6. Assess and treat periodontal disease 7. Participating in outreach programs in schools, remote clinics, and senior care facilities to improve access to dental care 8. Working as part of a dentist-led team, collaborating with dental hygienists and dental assistants to increase clinic efficiency and allow dentists to focus on complex procedures 9. Apply critical thinking and problem-solving as related to the scope of dental therapy practice 10. Recognize abnormal conditions to ensure the health status of patients is not compromised by the dental therapy interventions Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Strong clinical skills in restorative and preventive dentistry. 2. Ability to educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care. 3. Competence in working under dentist supervision and collaborating with dental teams. 4. Experience in community outreach and serving underserved populations is highly valued 5. Must have valid driver''s licenses, vehicle and appropriate vehicle coverage and maintain driver''s eligibility as a condition of employment.
