Pay Range: Targeted hourly pay of $18.31, depending on education and experience.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Position Introduction:

OU College of Dentistry seeks to hire a Dental Surgical assistant in our Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Resident Clinic. The Dental Surgical Assistant will provide chairside assistance to faculty, residents, and dental students with oral surgery procedures. The Dental Surgical Assistant prepares patients for the procedure with proper monitors for sedation, prepares surgical trays with instrumentation for basic extractions, IV extractions, biopsies, and implants.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 12 months experience as a Dental Assistant.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

• Dental Assistant Certification or OMSDA with the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry
• Radiology
• Basic CPR

Department Preferences:

• 6 months experience in Oral Surgery.
