    What You’ll Do & Bring

    As a Dental Patient Services Specialist (DPSS), you’ll serve as the first point of contact for patients—delivering exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations and ensuring a smooth dental visit experience from start to finish.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and community partners
    • Schedule appointments, confirm visits, and manage patient flow using OpenEMR
    • Register patients, update demographics, and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate
    • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA policies
    • Answer calls, triage patient needs, and route communications appropriately
    • Assist patients with insurance, payment plans, and Good Faith Estimates
    • Collect payments, post transactions, and reconcile daily cash drawer
    • Support both check-in and check-out processes, including follow-up scheduling
    • Maintain organized workspaces, waiting areas, and patient-facing environments
    • Address patient concerns professionally and escalate when needed

    What You Bring:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • At least 1 year of customer service experience in a medical or dental setting
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
    • Working knowledge of office systems, EHRs, and multi-line phone systems
    • Attention to detail with a patient-first mindset
    • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and care
    • Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish
    • Preferred: Experience with dental insurance and third-party payers (Medicaid, Medicare, commercial)
