Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center has an exciting opportunity available for a skilled, resourceful and motivated individual who would like to make a difference in the lives of others in helping a non-for-profit organization fulfill its mission to provide quality health care in Nashville, TN. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Dental Patient Business Representative Lead (DPBRL) will be responsible for the following to include, but not limited to: • Along with the Operations Manager, develop policies and procedures, which focus on the quality of customer service provided to patients
• Participate in the procedures for supervising, training, and evaluating Patient Business Representatives and ensuring staff is meeting performance expectations, complying with departmental and organizational policies and procedures, and correcting poor performance when needed
• Serves as direct Lead and departmental trainer to a team of Dental Patient Business Representatives to ensure all required functions of the group are timely and effective
• Serve as a point of contact for dental inquiries when the Operations Manager is unavailable
• Serve as the point of contact for the Smile on Program and ensure all information is documented in all systems
• Serve as point person for completing patient registration and verifying presumptive eligibility for the Smile on Program for Nashville.
• Responsible for ensuring the administrative portion of the dental program/grants for patients are being implemented correctly and policies and procedure are being followed.
• Maintain accurate and current Daily Close Report from staff
• Run and maintain Missed Opportunity and Compile PBR Audit Reports daily:
• Responsible for the tasks associated with PBRs assisting the Finance and Billing Departments with resolving rejected or denied billing claims
• Obtain authorization for dental procedures when required by Dental Payer and verify authorization for dental services has been obtained 48 hours priors to appointment date to ensure coverage of services.
• Ensure all dental contracts are being billed out properly (provider completed forms, claim entry in contracts database) and timely to those contracts and that the dental patients accounts correctly indicate the contract. - Set up payment arrangements for dental patients unable to pay for services at the time of service.
- Contact dental patients with outstanding balances to either collect payment or establish a payment plan
- Basic data entry of patient demographic, insurance, and other relevant information into Nextgen Practice management system
- Check-in, greet patients and perform excellent customer service skills and be able to answer all general questions that may arise and discharge all patients after service visit
- Maintain patient logs and records with the Nextgen Practice Management System
