POSITION OVERVIEW

The Dental Patient Access Representative supports the front office area by providing exceptional customer service to ACHC patients and visitors.

SCHEDULE AND PAY

This is a full-time (40 hour) position.

Clinic Open: Monday – Thursday 8AM - 7PM, Friday 8AM – 5PM, Saturday 8AM-Noon. Scheduling needs will be discussed during interview. 

The pay depends on experience and ranges between $17.50-$19/hour. 

DUTIES

• Completes administrative tasks to facilitate patient care
  • Schedules, cancels, and reschedules patient appointments
  • Triages patients according to dental protocols
  • Registers and checks-in patients to appointments
  • Reviews patient demographic information and updates electronic patient records when necessary
  • Aids with internal and external incoming calls, transferring to appropriate departments when necessary
  • Completes appointment reminder/confirmation calls per clinic specifications
  • Informs patients of dental clinic policies in a respectful manner
  • Completes daily ‘no-show’ follow up calls
  • Ensuring the front desk area and lobby are consistently clean and organized
• Completes financial tasks to facilitate patient care
  • Verifies patient insurance eligibility and max benefits in a timely manner
  • Collects nominal fees, insurance copays, account balance payments, or payment plans from patients in a professional manner
  • Facilitates Prior Authorizations before scheduling patient appointments when required.
  • Assists with collecting and updating Sliding Fee information according to All Care Health Center guidelines
  • Completes Good Faith Estimates in a timely manner
  • Performs cash box audits according to established procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual Spanish Preferred
• Previous training and experience in dental reception setting preferred.
