Office Accountability Manager – Dental Practice
## About the Role
We are a growing dental practice looking for a detail-oriented, people-first **Office Accountability Manager** to help our team operate at its highest level every single day. This is not a traditional office manager role — you won't be building systems from scratch. We have established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for every key function in our practice. Your job is to own execution: make sure the team follows the SOPs, identify when they're not, and hold people accountable with clarity and consistency. This will be 5 days/week position
If you are someone who thrives on structure, loves checklists, takes pride in a well-run team, and knows the dental world inside and out — this role was written for you.
## What You'll Do
- Drive daily accountability across front desk, dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff by monitoring adherence to established SOPs
- Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews with team members, documenting observations and addressing gaps quickly and professionally
- Serve as the first point of escalation for workflow breakdowns, scheduling issues, patient complaints, and team conflicts
- Track key performance indicators (e.g., appointment confirmation rates, no-show rates, treatment plan acceptance, schedule utilization) and report to ownership regularly
- Lead daily and weekly team huddles to align the team on goals, priorities, and any operational updates
- Onboard and train new staff using our existing SOP library, ensuring consistency from day one
- Identify recurring issues in team performance or workflow and flag them to ownership with recommendations
- Maintain a positive, professional office culture where expectations are clear, feedback is timely, and accountability is the norm — not the exception
## What We're Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a dental office in any clinical or administrative role (front desk, dental assistant, treatment coordinator, etc.)
- Deep familiarity with dental office workflows — scheduling, insurance coordination, treatment planning, patient communication, and clinical support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — you must be able to have direct, respectful conversations with team members about performance
- High personal standard for reliability, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar)
Not Required:
- Prior management title or experience — we have the playbook; we need the right person to run it
- HR or formal leadership training
Preferred:
- Experience as a treatment coordinator, lead dental assistant, or front office lead
- Familiarity with KPI tracking or basic reporting
- OSHA / HIPAA compliance knowledge
## Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience
- Health insurance contribution
- Paid time off
- Continuing education support
