    Haas Dental Dover is seeking a motivated and personable Pediatric Hygienist to join our dynamic team and make a meaningful difference in the patient experience.

     

    Position Summary


    As a Pediatric Dental Hygienist, you will provide preventive dental care and oral health education to infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs. This role focuses on creating a positive, comfortable experience while promoting good oral hygiene habits and supporting overall oral health.

    Key Responsibilities

     

    • Perform prophylaxis treatments, fluoride applications, sealants, and periodontal assessments as appropriate
    • Obtain and review patient medical and dental histories 
    • Take and process dental x-rays in accordance with established guidelines
    • Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive care practices
    • Assist in identifying an documenting oral health conditions and communicate findings to the dentist
    • Provide age-appropriate behavior guidance and help ensure a positive patient experience
    • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
    • Follow infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
    • Support the dental team in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a welcoming environment

    Qualifications

    • Current Dental Hygiene license 
    • Certification in local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide administration is a plus!
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
    • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered car
