Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and caring  Dental Hygienist to join our team! We are a private,  fee for service practice providing superb professional dental care that makes our patients feel like family. As a hygienist, you will screen patients, perform dental cleanings, and assist the dentists with exams . The ideal candidate is state-licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist and has at least one year of experience. Days need are Tuesdays from 9am -6 pm and possibly Fridays. Responsibilities
  • Provide preventive dental care, including cleaning and polishing teeth, applying sealants, and fluoride treatments.
  • Provide Periodontal Therapy which includes but not limited to Full Mouth Scaling and Root Planing.
  • Assess patient oral health and provide education on proper oral hygiene techniques.
  • Evaluate teeth and soft tissue for signs of disease or other conditions.
  • Obtain x-rays, panorex, intra oral pictures and obtain other diagnostic tests.
  • Record medical and dental histories/updates of patients.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating patients next recare appointments
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred
  • Current Dental Hygienist licensure
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
  • Anesthetic certification
  • Laser applications is a bonus
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Dental software experience. Dentrix Ascend preferred
