    Randolph & Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated team of dental professionals in Bloomington, IL! We serve all demographics of the population, from preschoolers to the elderly, and we operate a busy office with high levels of traffic. In addition to preventive care appointments and scheduled procedures, we accept emergency calls. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring, and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere.     Compensation

    • $36+ an hour based on experience

    Schedule & Office Hours

    • Open to full or part-time opportunities
    • Monday through Friday
    • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

    Qualifications

    • Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene required
    • Current state license required
    • 2+ years' experience as a Dental Hygienist (preferred)
    • Excellent verbal communication skills
    • Experience working with children preferred
    • Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
    • Current CPR certification required

    Specific Duties

    • Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride, sealants, and root planning
    • Complete a thorough assessment of the patient's teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues, and document and chart any abnormalities or suspected conditions
    • Customize care to meet patient's oral health
    • Educate patients on good oral hygiene techniques
    • Maintain patient confidentiality
    • Provide all care in conjunction with accepted professional dental practices and standards
    • Collect medical and dental histories from patients
    • Chart dental conditions based on dentist's observations and evaluations
    • Create molds of patients' teeth in preparation for dental appliances
    • Sterilize dental instruments and tools
    • Take X-rays of patients' teeth and develop them for dentist's use
    • Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures
