Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of this position involve didactic, laboratory, and clinical teaching responsibilities in the dental hygiene program. Faculty plan and deliver student instruction following approved syllabi, curriculum, and program standards. Duties include curriculum design and development; instruction, recruitment, and advisement of students. Correlation of clinical education with didactic education using approved curriculum format; evaluation of students in the clinical setting and periodic review and revision of clinic course materials and manuals annually. Courses will be a combination of face-to-face, online, or hybrid as necessary. Duties also include participation in college committees and participation in professional enhancement. Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. Requests and maintains supplies and equipment. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Meets with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues. Faculty provide support as well as work effectively with colleagues. Other responsibilities include service to the department and college participating on committees and in professional development activities that demonstrate career goals that are consistent with the College’s mission.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time instructional position. Work load is Monday-Friday day/evening hours. Weekends based on need.
TravelTravel to other campuses is a possibility for teaching assignments, meetings, training, and professional development.
