Red Lake Hospital is a comprehensive Indian Health Service (Client) facility and the sole healthcare provider within a 30-mile radius. The multi-disciplinary 23-bed hospital offers a full spectrum of services including emergency medicine, inpatient and outpatient care, behavioral health, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, and a modern 11-chair dental clinic completed in 2010. The dental department serves approximately 10,000 patients and provides urgent and routine dental care to the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians and surrounding communities. Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Take dental radiographs as authorized
• Maintain strict infection control protocols
• Perform charting and documentation in the electronic health record
• Prepare patients for treatment and provide oral health education
• Manage dental supplies inventory and ordering

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program (preferred)
• Current state certification (if applicable)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical dental assisting experience

Schedule

Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM CST " Federal holidays off
