Looking to supplement your income while staying connected to a supportive dental team? PCHC’s Dental Center is seeking an experienced per-diem Dental Assistant to join our team. You’ll work alongside skilled providers and care teams, with opportunities to support multiple PCHC dental locations based on your availability and clinic needs. Must have experience as a Dental Assistant.
Schedule: Per-Diem, Flexible Schedule (Depending on final candidate’s availability and clinic needs)
Travel: This position may require occasional travel to PCHC’s Bangor School Clinics and/or Seaport Dental Center in Belfast for coverage purposes.

Highlights of the Position:
- Chairside Assistance: Provide efficient chairside support to dentists during a variety of procedures.
- Patient Care: Provide high-quality, compassionate care and help create a positive patient experience.
- Clinical Support: Take and develop radiographs and perform other permitted clinical duties, including suture removal and temporary fillings when appropriate.
- Infection Control & Safety: Follow all safety, sterilization, and infection control requirements, including OSHA standards.
- Clinic Readiness: Maintain clean, stocked, and prepared operatories and help maintain dental equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with providers and clinic staff to support patient care, scheduling, and accurate record keeping.
- Flexible Coverage: Provide coverage across PCHC dental locations as needed, adapting to different teams, schedules, and clinic environments.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience as a Dental Assistant required.
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program or completion of a DA prep course/certificate preferred.
- Radiology license required, or must obtain within 6 months of employment.
