Join AMI Expeditionary Healthcare as a Dental Assistant! We are actively hiring a caring and dependable professional to support the Indian Health Service in Peach Springs, AZ by delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare to patients in the community. As a Dental Assistant, you will work directly with dentists and clinical staff to prepare patients, assist with procedures, maintain sterile environments, and support patient education. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality dental care for a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities Provide chair-side assistance and prepare patients, instruments, and operatories for dental procedures. Take dental radiographs, alginate impressions, vital signs, and perform basic laboratory procedures. Provide fluoride treatments, prophylaxis support, oral hygiene instruction, and post-operative patient education. Maintain accurate patient medical histories, treatment records, Dentrix notes, and consent documentation. Follow HIPAA, infection control, OSHA, sterilization, and facility safety standards. Maintain dental supplies and equipment and provide limited front-office support as needed.
