Dental Assistant – Gentle Dental Lacey

About the Role

As a Dental Assistant at Gentle Dental, you’ll work closely with our dentists and clinical team to provide high-quality, compassionate care. You’ll play an important role in creating an efficient clinical environment while helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit.

What You'll Do

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care
• Support an efficient patient flow and positive clinical experience
• Provide compassionate, attentive support to patients before, during, and after treatment
• Follow infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Take dental X-rays when appropriately certified
• Educate patients on oral health and post-treatment instructions
• Work collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, front office teammates, and other dental assistants
• Provide support at surrounding Gentle Dental offices in the region on an as-needed basis

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Certificate from a Dental Assisting Program
• Current healthcare provider CPR/BLS certification
• Strong commitment to patient care and service
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced dental environment

Expanded Functions experience or certification is a plus.

Qualifications That May Increase Starting Pay

We recognize the value of additional skills and experience. Factors that may influence starting compensation include:

• Previous dental assisting experience
• EFDA certification
• X-ray certification
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential, when applicable
• Bilingual Spanish skills

Compensation

$25.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
