Dental Assistant

Konikoff Family Dentistry - Brambleton is looking for a driven, experienced Dental Assistant to join our Brambleton team. You'll work alongside skilled providers across a full range of services in a fast paced, patient focused environment where your skills are valued and your growth is supported. - Provide expert chairside assistance to our dentists across a full range of procedures
- Assist across our complete scope of services: preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, family dentistry, pediatric dentistry, implant dentistry, implant restorations, endodontics, oral surgery, periodontal disease treatment, clear aligner treatment, mouth guards, and emergency dentistry
- Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral images in compliance with Virginia state regulations
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols
- Set up operatories and ensure all instruments, materials, and equipment are fully prepared before every appointment
- Ensure patient comfort and provide calm, compassionate support throughout every phase of treatment
- Take dental impressions and assist with lab tasks as directed
- Provide post-treatment instructions and patient education on oral hygiene and home care
- Track dental supply inventory and process orders as needed
- Prepare, enter, and track lab cases from submission through delivery
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in Dentrix in full compliance with HIPAA
Administrative Support (as needed) - Welcome patients and assist with check-in and check-out
- Schedule and confirm appointments using Dentrix
- Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries professionally and warmly
- Support billing and additional office tasks as directed
What Makes You a Great Fit - Virginia Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RDA required
- Dentrix proficiency required
- Current CPR certification required
- Completion of an approved Virginia radiation safety and radiography course required per state regulations
- Strong attention to detail in clinical work, documentation, and operatory preparation
- Calm, patient-centered presence that puts patients at ease
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-provider environment
- Self-managing work ethic
- Positive, collaborative team player who contributes to a warm and professional practice culture
