Position Summary All Nations Health Center is seeking a compassionate, culturally responsive, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team serving Native American and underserved families in Missoula, Montana. This position is more than a dental assisting role -- it is an opportunity to build relationships, improve access to oral healthcare, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our relatives and community members. The Dental Assistant supports dental providers in delivering high-quality patient care within a culturally grounded, trauma-informed, and relative-centered care environment. This role assists with clinical procedures, patient preparation, sterilization, radiographs, patient education, and overall clinic operations while helping create a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and families. Duties: What We Are Looking For We are seeking someone who is: • Passionate about serving Native American families and underserved populations • Compassionate and patient-centered • Culturally sensitive, respectful, and community-oriented • A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment • Motivated to help expand access to quality dental care • Comfortable building trust with patients of all ages ____ Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Services & Patient Care Responsibilities include: • Assisting the dentist during dental procedures • Room turnover and operatory setup • Sterilization and infection control • Taking radiographs and charting • Supporting patient flow and creating a positive patient experience • Providing oral health education and post-treatment instructions to patients • Assisting with front office duties as needed Cross-Training & Clinic Support This position will also be cross-trained in front desk responsibilities to help support overall clinic operations and improve patient access to care. Front desk duties may include: • Scheduling and confirming patient appointments • Answering phones and assisting patients with questions • Patient check-in and check-out • Verifying insurance and updating patient information • Assisting with coordination of care and communication between departments Team Collaboration & Compliance • Collaborate with dental and clinic staff to improve patient flow and continuity of care • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control standards, and organizational policies • Follow Montana Board of Dentistry regulations and applicable supervision requirements • Participate in team-based communication and quality improvement efforts Qualifications: Qualifications • High school diploma or GED preferred • Dental assisting experience preferred • Strong teamwork and communication skills • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care • X-ray certification preferred (if applicable in your state) • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire • Experience working with Native American, underserved, or culturally diverse populations preferred • Valid Montana Driver''s License preferred Work Type: Permanent, Part Who May Apply?
