Dental Assistant I Part-Time

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a Dental Assistant with orthodontic experience to join our team. The Dental Assistant will assist orthodontists in clinical and administrative tasks, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, taking X-rays, educating patients, and providing general dental assistance. This position offers part-time hours, with the potential for full-time hours in the future.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- X-ray certification
- Orthodontic assisting experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities

**Responsibilities:**
- Assist in setting up treatment areas for orthodontic procedures
- Support orthodontists during patient examinations and treatments
- Take and process dental X-rays
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene practices
- Schedule patient appointments and manage dental records
- Handle administrative tasks like billing and insurance processing
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
