About the Role:
Dental Expressions in Bayside, NY is looking for a talented and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing team! Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including fillings, extractions, and implant surgery
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patients
• Take dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed
• Greet patients, review medical histories, and ensure a comfortable patient experience
• Prepare setups for specific dental procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts using Dentrix
• Educate patients on post-procedure care and answer any questions or concerns
• Be prepared for the day by going over daily huddle with team
• Order supplies for practice in coordination with doctor

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification or vocational training preferred
• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a dental office or facility
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
• Dental radiography Dexis
• Strong knowledge of Dentrix software
• Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, patient-centered approach
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Experience in dental surgery a plus
• Must speak English clearly enough to communicate and be understood by our patients
