Position Summary

Spring & Sprout Pediatric Dentistry is seeking an experienced, dependable, and enthusiastic Dental Assistant with EFDA, EDDA, or Coronal Polishing qualifications to join our pediatric dental team.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, has a positive attitude, and thrives in a busy, team-oriented environment.

This position will initially be three days per week, with the possibility of increasing to four days per week based on practice needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures and treatments.

• Create a welcoming, positive, and comfortable experience for children and their families.

• Perform coronal polishing or expanded dental functions as permitted by applicable qualifications and Ohio regulations.

• Take dental radiographs with appropriate certification.

• Prepare, clean, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.

• Maintain proper infection control and OSHA standards.

• Provide patient and parent education regarding oral hygiene.

• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.

• Support the dental team in maintaining an efficient daily schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience required.

• EFDA, EDDA, or Coronal Polishing qualifications required.

• Pediatric dental experience preferred.

• Ohio dental radiography certification preferred.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental practice.

• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.

• Must enjoy working with children of all ages.

Schedule and Employment Details

• Part-time position: 3 days per week.
