    Dental Assistant

    6-Month Contract Position | Dallas - North

    About the Opportunity

    Our staffing firm is partnering with an established dental practice in North Dallas with an excellent reputation in the community. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant for a 6-month contract position starting as soon as possible.

    Position Details

    Employment Type: Contract (6 months)
    Schedule: Flexible - Part-time or Full-time available
    Hours: 20-50 hours per week (based on your availability)
    Location: Preston @ i635

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist dentist during various dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments

    • Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms

    • Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)

    • Prepare materials for impressions and restorations

    • Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures

    • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation

    • Manage infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment

    • Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene

    • Perform front office duties as needed including scheduling and patient communication



    Requirements


    Required Qualifications

    Experience Level (one of the following):

    • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on dental assisting experience, OR

    • Recent graduate of an accredited dental assisting program

    Additional Requirements:

    • Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures

    • Proficiency in taking dental X-rays

    • Understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

    • Professional, friendly demeanor with patients of all ages

    • Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

    Preferred but Not Required:

    • Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification

    • Experience with dental practice management software

    • Bilingual English/Spanish
