Pediatric Dental Assistant – Full Time | Spanish Speaking a Plus
We are a modern, relationship-centered pediatric dental practice in Charlotte seeking an experienced, energetic Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team.

The right candidate will be confident chairside, communicate well with parents and teammates, take initiative, and understand that an exceptional patient experience is just as important as excellent clinical care.
Qualifications
Required
- Previous chairside dental assisting experience
- Pediatric dental experience or a strong background working with children
- Current CPR certification
- Qualified to perform dental assisting duties and take dental radiographs in North Carolina, or eligible to obtain the necessary North Carolina qualifications upon hire
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Strongly Preferred
- DA II and/or CDA credentials
- 2+ years of chairside dental assisting experience
- Previous pediatric dental experience
- Coronal polishing certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Nitrous oxide monitoring certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Experience with Curve Dental
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Candidates who completed their dental assisting education or previously worked in another state are encouraged to apply. We are open to considering experienced assistants who are eligible to meet North Carolina requirements without repeating a full dental assisting program.
If you are an excellent dental assistant who does not currently hold every preferred certification, we still encourage you to apply. For the right candidate, we are willing to consider someone who can complete any necessary additional training or certifications after hire.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Chairside assisting during preventive, restorative, surgical, and other pediatric dental procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
- Taking diagnostic radiographs as permitted
- Supporting and reassuring children before, during, and after treatment
- Communicating professionally and compassionately with parents and caregivers
- Maintaining excellent infection control and sterilization standards
- Turning over treatment rooms efficiently and helping maintain smooth clinical flow
- Accurately documenting treatment and maintaining clinical records
- Monitoring and maintaining clinical supplies and inventory
- Supporting fellow team members throughout the day
- Helping create a calm, positive, and fun experience for our pediatric patients

Schedule
This is a full-time position in a practice that operates 4–5 days per week.
