The Ideal Candidate

Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance during a full range of dental procedures, with emphasis on surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain surgical and treatment rooms to exacting standards
- Sterilize and organize instruments and equipment with meticulous attention to detail
- Take and process dental radiographs and diagnostic images
- Prepare patients for procedures while ensuring comfort and understanding
- Assist with patient education regarding biologic and holistic treatment approaches
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
- Support phlebotomy procedures as needed for biologic testing and therapies
- Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with the clinical team
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification/license as required by Oregon state regulations
- Proven experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional, compassionate bedside manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to anticipate needs and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Team-oriented mindset with ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Surgical assisting experience strongly preferred
- Background or demonstrated interest in biologic, holistic, or integrative dentistry
- Phlebotomy certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Experience with advanced dental technologies and digital workflows
- Knowledge of biocompatible materials and their applications
- Familiarity with systemic health connections to oral health
