Tesla is hiring a demand planner to lead cross-functional projects and operational initiatives that optimize Tesla's supply-demand balance across its global vehicle portfolio, global vessel planning, and the reporting suite used by demand planning team. This role will also own design decisions and new projects on our internal reporting platform, train an internal AI agent and work closely with the planning engineering team.
Manage key demand planning initiatives such as vehicle movements, data enrichment, and planning process improvements
Partner with data engineering to optimize SQL and Python modules
Support global vessel planning, forecasting, and mapping
Drive Vehicle Plan readiness and validation
Train the internal AI agent and plan knowledge transfer
Identify and correct inefficiencies in Tesla's outbound plan and regional supply-demand balance
Build clear, high-performance reporting for planning teams on our internal platform and maintain existing reports
Define best practices and design principles for planning reports and train the team on them
Support the demand planning team on cross-functional projects and analytics
Degree in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience in a planning function (finance, business planning, supply chain, or similar)
Strong SQL skills, including Microsoft SQL Server experience
Strong Tableau skills (or comparable visualization software); familiarity with D3 or other open-source visualization libraries is a plus
Strong business and design judgment for creating intuitive, high-quality data displays
Experience in Python or other programming languages
Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and comfort with change in a fast-paced environment

Expected Compensation
$80,000 - $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
