The Demand Planner & Product Analyst will own a variety of planning, forecasting and reporting activities. The primary responsibility of this position will interact with a variety of departments or regions to collect sales and market data with the goal of developing a demand forecast in support of the company revenue plans. In addition, the position will be expected to own and drive a variety of projects related to demand analysis, inventory, market trends, and best practices related to forecasting, operational planning, and supply chain optimization.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline
Preferred: Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or Business w/APICS certification
Work Experience
Required: 1-year full time of directly relevant work experience (planning)
Preferred: 2-5 years in a planning or quantitative role in a manufacturing or supply chain environment using MRP or Advanced Planning tools. International business and language experience a plus.
Skills and general experience:
Excellent communication and organization skills. Proven ability to follow through on assigned tasks and pay attention to detail. Ability to independently identify and take initiative for improvement and optimization of planning and forecasting tools & processes. High degree of proficiency with MS Excel is required. Knowledge of MS Access, macros, and database report writing tools is a plus. Demonstrated success in a demand planning role using planning software or algorithms. Aptitude for numbers, analytics, and an ability to compile, interpret, and communicate market trends and resulting implications to the business.
Alternative qualification: Proven ability to excel in a complex quantitative environment and extensive knowledge of the outdoor industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Authorized and responsible to continuously improve upon and perform all duties according to BDEL Quality, Safety and Employee Policies and procedures:
1) Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle for assigned business units and/or categories, ensuring systems are updated with SKU-level demand forecasts each month.
2) Develop and maintain demand plans in collaboration with Sales, Product, and Operations leaders across assigned brands and geographies, incorporating historical trends, sales results, competitive dynamics, and economic influences.
3) Monitor and communicate forecast performance, maintaining reporting databases, tracking key customer forecast accuracy, and partnering with the sales team on monthly reviews - identifying and driving corrective actions where performance falls short.
4) Provide data-driven insights and analysis to support category business plans, new product briefs, product extension evaluations, and category development initiatives.
5) Support the Supply Chain and broader management team through data entry, reporting, ad hoc analysis, and other requests as needed.
