Inventory Deployment Analyst

Our client, a leading global specialty retailer, is seeking a Senior D&D (Deployment & Distribution) Analyst to join its International Deployment & Distribution team supporting a womens wear category. This role is ideal for an analytical retail professional who enjoys turning data into inventory strategies that maximize sales, improve product availability, and enhance the customer experience.
Working alongside teams in both the United States and India, you'll play a key role in deploying inventory across stores, supporting pre-season and in-season planning, and partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize assortment, allocation, and inventory performance. Execute pre-season and in-season inventory deployment strategies to support store inventory, sales, and profitability.
Analyze inventory demand, sales trends, and allocation opportunities to optimize inventory placement across stores and markets.
Partner with Merchandise Planning & Allocation (MP&A) teams across multiple business categories to provide reporting and analytical support.
Participate in floorset planning, inventory deployment strategies, demand forecasting alignment, and size-selling analysis.
Identify assortment opportunities and recommend deployment adjustments based on business performance and emerging trends.
Perform store-level analysis and respond to inventory callouts from business partners.
Develop ad hoc reports and business insights that support inventory and deployment decisions.
Build strong partnerships with domestic and international teams, including Franchise Partners, to ensure consistent execution of inventory strategies.
Help improve reporting processes and deployment efficiencies across multiple product categories.
Champion initiatives that unlock incremental sales opportunities at the store, size, and market level.
3–5 years of experience in Merchandise Planning, Allocation, Inventory Deployment, or Inventory Planning, preferably within a retail environment.
Previous experience with inventory deployment or allocation is strongly preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, data analysis, and large datasets.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make business recommendations.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently.

Previous ownership of a merchandise category or experience supporting international retail operations is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
