DeltaV Batch Automation Engineer – Operational Support

Seeking DeltaV Automation Engineers to provide continuous operational support for a live Emerson DeltaV system at a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing site. North Carolina or Southeast-based candidates; experience with DeltaV virtualization, upgrades, PI, MES/Syncade interfaces, or Emerson certifications.

Schedule: Rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call support
Pay: $45-52/hr on W2/Contract

Job Summary:
Seeking DeltaV Automation Engineers to provide continuous operational support for a live Emerson DeltaV system at a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing site. Candidates must have hands-on production support experience and confirmed availability for rotating shifts and on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot DeltaV control modules, batch phases, I/O, controllers, networks, and workstations.
• Provide real-time automation support to manufacturing operators.
• Perform backups, restores, patching, user management, and alarm/event reviews.
• Implement minor configuration changes under formal change control.
• Support CSV documentation, incident reporting, deviations, root cause analysis, and CAPA.
• Maintain system security, availability, and data integrity.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Automation, Controls, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on Emerson DeltaV production support experience in pharmaceutical or biotech GMP manufacturing.
• Knowledge of DeltaV Explorer, Control Studio, Operate, Diagnostics, and Batch/S88.
• Working knowledge of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, CSV/GAMP 5, and ALCOA+ principles.
• Authorized to work in the US and available for onsite rotating shifts and on-call support.

Preferred:
North Carolina or Southeast-based candidates; experience with DeltaV virtualization, upgrades, PI, MES/Syncade interfaces, or Emerson certifications.
