    Description

    A day in the life

Morning: you join a discovery call with a precision manufacturer to map their current ERP/MES landscape—production flow, scheduling gaps, inventory blind spots, and reporting needs. Midday: you tailor a DELMIAWorks demo that connects directly to those pain points, showing how visibility, throughput, quality, and decision-making improve. Afternoon: a current customer pings you about a performance hiccup; you dive into configurations, workflows, database queries, and integrations, isolate root cause, and guide a clean fix. Before you log off, you sketch a high-level migration roadmap—phases, data conversion, integrations, and training—for tomorrow’s proposal.

    Where you’ll work

This role is predominantly remote. Many of our customers are in and around Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and nearby markets. Occasional onsite visits may arise (we expect them to be infrequent). Proximity to this region is helpful but not required.

    About GSC + Ellison

For 30+ years, GSC has helped engineering and manufacturing teams design, manage, and make better. Now part of the Ellison Technologies family, we operate across a uniquely broad slice of the manufacturing lifecycle—engineering and SOLIDWORKS through ERP/MES, manufacturing technology, additive manufacturing, advanced machine tools, automation, implementation, training, and technical support. If you love manufacturing technology and real business problem‑solving, you’ll thrive here.

    Your impact

    • Partner with Sales as the technical counterpart throughout the DELMIAWorks sales cycle—join discovery, ask incisive questions, map current ERP/MES states, and surface challenges in production, scheduling/shop-floor visibility, inventory/materials, reporting/BI, quality, data integrations, and scalability.
    • Translate findings into practical DELMIAWorks solutions and conduct tailored demos that show “what you do today,” “what could improve,” and “how DELMIAWorks gets you there.”
    • Outline migration/implementation at a high level: future state vision, phased rollout, integrations, data migration, training, and key risks.
    • Serve existing customers as a trusted technical resource—troubleshoot functionality, configurations, workflows, databases, integrations, and system performance; collaborate with internal and vendor experts when needed.

    What you’ll bring

    • Background with ERP and/or MES systems; manufacturing industry knowledge.
    • Experience with DELMIAWorks/IQMS preferred—or strong ERP/MES/manufacturing software experience with the drive to become DELMIAWorks‑proficient quickly.
    • Implementation, migration, or consulting exposure; technical support or applications engineering experience.
    • Comfort leading discovery and delivering solution demonstrations.
    • Strength in troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis; ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Clear communicator and presenter who enjoys working directly with customers.

Bonus points for experience with SOLIDWORKS, SQL/databases, CAD/CAM, manufacturing software, or the SOLIDWORKS reseller ecosystem.

BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related preferred—or equivalent industry experience.

    Learning curve and certification

We don’t expect you to check every box on day one. If you understand manufacturing and ERP/MES, love solving technical puzzles, communicate well, and are eager to master DELMIAWorks, you’ll fit right in. If not already certified, plan to pursue DELMIAWorks Technical Support Certification within approximately the first 3–4 months.

What success looks like (by month 6)

    • Independently handle a broad range of technical support issues.
    • Lead or contribute meaningfully to discovery meetings.
    • Quickly assess a manufacturer’s current ERP/MES footprint.
    • Identify and articulate operational challenges.
    • Map those challenges to DELMIAWorks capabilities.
    • Deliver compelling, contextualized product demonstrations.
    • Draft clear, high‑level migration roadmaps.
    • Help Sales surface technical requirements and risks.
    • Earn trust with prospects and customers—be the person people ask for when problems get complex.
