The Obsolescence Reduction Delivery Manager will lead delivery management activities in support of Client Obsolescence Reduction Program, with a primary focus on the build and rollout of re-platformed servers across North American manufacturing plants. This role is responsible for driving the reduction of End-of-Service (EOS) and End-of-Life (EOL) hardware, operating systems, and middleware, with particular emphasis on migrating mission-critical applications off unsupported platforms and onto currently supported hardware and OS environments. A significant component of this role includes leading the decommissioning of legacy EOS/EOL servers, with heavy focus on the retirement of Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 environments.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Delivery Management:
    • Own end-to-end delivery of obsolescence reduction initiatives across multiple North American plant sites, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure architects, plant IT, application owners, and vendors to drive re-platforming of mission-critical applications.
    • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reporting for EOS/EOL remediation efforts.
    • Track and report progress against obsolescence reduction KPIs (e.g., number of servers decommissioned, applications migrated, unsupported platforms retired).
    • Escalate and resolve delivery risks, blockers, and resource constraints in a timely manner.
    Obsolescence & Decommissioning:
    • Drive the identification, prioritization, and remediation of EOS/EOL hardware, OS, and middleware across plant environments.
    • Lead decommissioning efforts for legacy servers, with a specific focus on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 systems.
    • Coordinate application migration from unsupported platforms to approved, supported hardware and OS configurations.
    • Partner with application owners to assess business criticality, dependencies, and cutover risk prior to decommissioning.
    Infrastructure Solution Architecture (ISA) Support:
    • Act as (or work closely with) the Infrastructure Solution Architect to define infrastructure requirements and solutions supporting re-platforming projects.
    • Support the preparation and review of infrastructure architecture diagrams and detailed configuration documentation for architecture elements.
    • Apply approved technical standards to validate infrastructure solutions proposed for each project.
    • Evaluate proposed infrastructure technologies to confirm suitability and alignment with project and enterprise standards.
    • Present proposed infrastructure architecture to CTO teams and stakeholders; incorporate feedback to obtain approval and support.
    • Maintain up-to-date infrastructure architecture documentation for supported applications.
    • Identify technical and/or process barriers that inhibit adoption of standard services (including cloud offerings) and drive resolution.
    • Collaborate across delivery towers and within the Service/Resource Management (SRM) team to resolve cross-functional issues.
    Stakeholder & Vendor Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for obsolescence reduction status with CTO leadership, plant stakeholders, and project sponsors.
    • Consult with project leads and requesting teams to gather and validate infrastructure and delivery requirements.
    • Navigate Client governance processes, architecture review forms, and approval workflows.
    • Coordinate with hardware/software vendors and internal procurement to ensure timely availability of replacement infrastructure.
    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
    • 5+ years of experience in IT delivery/project management, with demonstrated experience managing infrastructure or obsolescence reduction programs.
    • Proven experience managing decommissioning of legacy server environments, including Windows Server 2003/2008 (or comparable legacy OS retirement projects).
    • Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture concepts, including servers, OS platforms, and middleware.
    • Experience working within large enterprise/automotive manufacturing IT environments; familiarity with plant-floor IT systems is a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams across geographically distributed sites.
    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to represent technical teams (CTO) in application and business discussions.
    • Experience preparing and reviewing technical architecture documentation and diagrams.
    • Familiarity with IT governance, change management, and architecture review processes in a large enterprise setting.
    • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow) and reporting/status tracking.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • PMP, Agile/Scrum certification, or equivalent delivery management credential.
    • Experience with Client IT environments, standards, or governance processes.
    • Background in server migration, re-platforming, or data center consolidation projects.
    • Familiarity with cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure strategies.
    • Experience collaborating with Infrastructure Solution Architects or serving in a similar architecture-adjacent capacity.
    Success Metrics:
    • Reduction in count of active EOS/EOL servers, OS instances, and middleware across in-scope plants.
    • Number of Windows Server 2003/2008 instances decommissioned within program timelines.
    • On-time, on-budget delivery of re-platforming projects for mission-critical applications.
    • Stakeholder satisfaction and adoption of approved infrastructure standards across project teams.
