Denver Mattress Company is looking for a dependable, motivated Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our Grand Island team.

This is a hands-on position that combines customer deliveries, furniture and mattress setup, warehouse operations, inventory management, and teamwork with our sales and leadership staff.

What You'll Do

Delivery & Customer Service

• Safely deliver mattresses, furniture, and related merchandise to customers' homes
• Provide professional setup and installation of mattresses, furniture, adjustable bases, and other merchandise as required
• Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
• Safely operate company vehicles, equipment, machinery, and tools used during deliveries
• Communicate professionally with customers throughout the delivery process
• Help provide a positive final experience for customers after their purchase
• Work closely with store sales and leadership teams to ensure deliveries are accurate and completed properly

Warehouse & Inventory

• Receive, organize, stock, and prepare merchandise for customer pickup and delivery
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with inventory control
• Inspect merchandise and help maintain quality-assurance standards
• Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and safe
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts when trained and authorized
• Assist with customer pickups
• Perform other warehouse and delivery-related responsibilities as needed to support the team

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet applicable DOT driver qualification requirements
• Ability to meet and maintain applicable DOT driver certification/qualification requirements
• Valid driver's license appropriate for the position
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy merchandise, including items weighing 100 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the workday, including lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, bending, and moving merchandise
• Dependable transportation to and from work
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced delivery and warehouse environment
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug screening

Preferred, But Not Required

• Previous warehouse experience
• Previous delivery experience
• Forklift experience

Don't have forklift experience? That's okay. Previous forklift experience is a plus, but it is not required for consideration.
