Delivery Driver

Duties

• Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
• Deliver products efficiently along designated routes while maintaining accurate delivery schedules.
• Engage with customers professionally to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and build lasting relationships.
• Upsell additional products or services where appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
• Conduct merchandising activities at retail stores, ensuring displays are well-stocked and visually appealing.
• Handle heavy lifting with proper technique to load and unload goods safely.
• Maintain detailed route logs, delivery documentation, and inventory records for accountability.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of route driving, navigation tools, and traffic regulations.
• Basic math skills for pricing calculations, measurements, and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
• Prior retail store experience or familiarity with merchandising is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices consistently.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving is highly desirable.
• Proven organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude that fosters positive client relationships.
