About the Role
The Part-Time Casual Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering fresh floral products to customers throughout the Syracuse and Upstate New York delivery area. This role plays a key part in ensuring on-time delivery, maintaining product quality, and delivering a positive customer experience.
What You'll Do
Safely operate a 16-foot refrigerated box truck to complete assigned delivery routes
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of fresh floral products and related supplies to customers
Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries
Load and unload products while maintaining product quality, organization, and safe handling practices
Work efficiently in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment (approximately 34°F)
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic operational readiness
Follow assigned routes and use maps, GPS, and navigation tools to optimize efficiency
Partner with warehouse team members to ensure order accuracy and efficient product handling
Safely use equipment such as pallet jacks, box cutters, and RF scanners as required
Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and DOT regulations
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to work in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment (approximately 34°F) and to lift, carry, and move products up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. The position also requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing in and out of a truck, and extended driving periods.
The role requires the ability to safely operate a 16-foot refrigerated box truck and perform the physical activities necessary to load, unload, and deliver products. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The expected hourly rate for this position is listed above. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

Other Information
Onsite role based out of the Syracuse, NY distribution facility
Part-time, as-needed schedule with variable hours based on business needs; flexibility required
Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as required
Start time: 4:00 AM until route completion
Local travel required throughout Syracuse and the Upstate New York delivery area
What You'll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
2+ years of professional driving experience operating commercial vehicles, with experience driving 16-foot box trucks or larger preferred
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification (CDL not required)
Acceptable driving record
Must be 21 years of age or older
Ability to safely lift and move up to 60 pounds
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to effectively use maps, GPS, and navigation tools for route management
Strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented approach
Ability to safely operate a refrigerated box truck
Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
