Delivery Driver - Pharmacy

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our pharmacy team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering prescription medications and other pharmacy products to customers in a timely and safe manner, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to all safety and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up prescription medications and pharmacy products from the pharmacy.
• Deliver medications to customers at their homes or designated locations promptly and safely.
• Verify delivery information and obtain customer signatures as required.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the delivery vehicle.
• Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous delivery driving experience preferred, especially in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or maps.
• Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality is a plus.

Work Environment

This position requires driving in various weather conditions and may involve some physical activity such as lifting and carrying packages. The role involves direct interaction with customers and pharmacy staff.
