Youngs is looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team! As a Delivery Driver, you are a key member of the team! You are responsible for delivering household goods to our clients. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.
This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, energetic, and enjoy helping people. Ideally, you are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis Our delivery crew are our last faces you'll see after the sale, and we get lots of compliments about friendliness, politeness, and care for customer's home and recent purchase. Whether it's a mattress set, or a Speed Queen laundry pair, our mission is to get it operating or in use professionally and promptly. The job is gratifying and one that is fun and challenging. We primarily us a harness/strap system for handling merchandise, so a good candidate must be team oriented and be ready for handling household goods. Ability to connect water lines or gas lines to appliances is a must, and we'll help to train our candidates. We're a family business, so we understand the need to keep to schedules and honor our customer's time, and our crew time-lines. Are you ready to join us? Let's talk. Responsibilities:
- 1 Year delivery driving experience required
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and different routes
- Follow route and schedule
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jack in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100lbs.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles, i.e., box truck and express van
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationships with current customers and vendors
