About the Role

Delaware Valley Floral Group is currently seeking a Full-Time Van Driver to join our Battle Creek Distribution Team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of fresh floral products to our customers throughout the region.

This is a full-time role responsible for operating a refrigerated company van to deliver fresh flowers, plants, and floral supplies while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining product quality from our distribution center to customer locations.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate a company van to transport floral products for daily deliveries
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining product quality during transportation
• Load and unload shipments while properly handling floral products and related supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle while reporting any maintenance concerns
• Use pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment to move and manage inventory efficiently
• Follow assigned delivery routes using GPS and route-planning tools to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules
• Verify orders and maintain accurate delivery documentation
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and represent DVFG in a professional manner
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable DOT regulations

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading products throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work is performed in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment (approximately 34°F), as well as while operating delivery vehicles. The position requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods throughout the workday.

Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Other Information

• Work Location: Onsite - Battle Creek, MI
• Schedule: Full-time, 5AM Monday through Friday (occasional Saturdays may be required)
• Start Time: Early morning start times based on delivery routes and customer requirements; shifts end upon completion of assigned deliveries

What Youll Bring

• 2+ years of professional experience driving commercial vehicles (vans, 16-ft box trucks, or similar vehicles preferred)
• Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record (reviewed periodically)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 60 pounds
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfort using GPS, maps, and route-planning tools
• Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to workplace safety
