Job Description
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Safely operating a delivery vehicle to transport food to designated locations
- Loading, unloading, and handling food with care to prevent damage
- Following prescribed routes and schedules to maximize delivery efficiency
- Providing excellent customer service, including obtaining signatures and handling inquiries
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Conducting vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Adhering to all traffic laws, safety policies, and company procedures
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication abilities
- Physical capability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and mobile devices
- Knowledge of local area and routes in Winter Garden and surrounding areas preferred
- Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or related field preferred
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL) may be preferred, depending on vehicle type
- Flexible schedule to accommodate varying delivery demands
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory
