Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team at our Effingham, United States location (1001 W Fayette Ave). In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering products to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism. As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our organization, and your commitment to punctuality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction will be essential to our success.
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies
- Plan and execute optimal delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at all scheduled stops
- Load, unload, and secure merchandise in the delivery vehicle, ensuring products are protected during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including signatures, delivery confirmations, and any special instructions from customers
- Provide professional and courteous customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or damage immediately
- Meet daily and weekly delivery quotas while maintaining quality standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delivery status, delays, or customer concerns
- Inspect packages for damage or discrepancies before delivery and document any issues
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle at all times
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transportation role
- Strong knowledge of vehicle operation, maintenance, and safety protocols
- Proficiency in route planning and navigation, including GPS and mapping tools
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to lift, carry, and load packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
- Physical capability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing movements
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Knowledge of local traffic patterns and road conditions in the Effingham area (preferred)
- Experience with delivery management software or mobile applications (preferred)
