Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team in Imperial, United States. As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our organization, ensuring that every package reaches our customers safely, on time, and with a smile. This role offers the perfect opportunity to work independently while being part of a supportive and collaborative team that values efficiency, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
- Safely operate a vehicle to deliver packages and products to customers throughout the Imperial area
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service while minimizing fuel consumption
- Load, unload, and transport packages with care, maintaining accurate inventory records
- Provide friendly and professional customer interactions, addressing inquiries and resolving delivery-related concerns
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and documentation, ensuring accuracy and transparency in all transactions
- Perform vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and management regarding delivery status, delays, or obstacles
- Handle customer feedback professionally and escalate concerns when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid drivers license
- Minimum 2 years of driving history if 18 years old; 1 year of driving history if 19 years or older
- Access to an insured vehicle that meets company standards for delivery purposes
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, meeting company-specific safety standards
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to lift, carry, and safely handle packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
- Physical stamina and capability to work in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail with a commitment to accurate and complete deliveries
- Problem-solving skills and ability to navigate unfamiliar routes independently
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professional demeanor
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Valid proof of insurance for personal vehicle used for delivery
