We are a Locally Owned Furniture & Home Accessories Retailer and we are looking for an experience Delivery Driver and Team Lead to join our company! The right person will have experience in safely driving and operating a 26 ft box truck and also experience in home deliveries of large items, like home furnishings.  Are you a dependable, hands-on leader who takes pride in getting the job done right? You'll guide and coach delivery staff, maintain vehicle and safety standards, coordinate with our warehouse and scheduling teams, and ensure every delivery reflects the quality and care our customers expect. When not on deliveries, you'll support warehouse operations and contribute to training and team development.Delivery Leadership & ExecutionLead daily furniture deliveries throughout the Kansas City metro area and beyond as neededConfirm correct items are loaded, transported, and delivered safely and on scheduleSupport in-home placement, basic assembly, and care of customer propertyMaintain white-glove delivery standards and customer-focused communication at all timesVerify delivery photos are taken, uploaded, and orders are updated in ShopifyTeam Guidance & DevelopmentCoach and support delivery team members through daily feedback and hands-on instructionLead onboarding for new delivery staff through ride-alongs and supervised practiceShare product knowledge, furniture handling expertise, and best practices with the teamVehicle Readiness & SafetyConfirm vehicles are fueled, clean, inspected, and ready for daily operationsReinforce safe driving practices and proper use of all equipment and mechanical aidProperly use tools like furniture dollies, floor dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, moving straps, furniture sliders, etc.Model and enforce PPE standards at all times including lift protocols and safe moving techniques in all environments, including in and out of customer homesFurniture Quality ControlInspect, clean, condition, and prepare all furniture prior to deliveryIdentify and address minor cosmetic issues before items reach the customerCross-Department CollaborationSupport Monday Floor Moves with the Visuals and Design teamsCollaborate with Scheduling, Warehouse, and Design teams to keep operations running smoothlyWhen not on deliveries, all team members are expected to assist with receiving, staging, assembly, inventory counts, and end-of-day truck cleanoutWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORProven reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethicAbility to lead, coach, and support team members constructivelyStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to lift, carry, and maneuver items weighing 75+ lbs regularlyComfortable working in warehouse environments, delivery vehicles, and customer homesValid Class E License or above is required (CDL helpful but not required).  Prior experience in delivery, warehouse operations, or furniture handling preferredMust pass a pre-employment background checkMust successfully pass a Missouri Department of Transportation physical examination for DOT medical certificationRequires knowledge of safe moving and material handling practices, including proper use of dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, straps, sliders, and lift gatesWHAT WE OFFERFull-time salaried position with consistent weekly hoursA supportive, team-oriented work environment where good people thriveOpportunities to grow in a leadership role within our delivery and warehouse operationsEmployee discount on furniture, home accessories, and moreThe chance to be part of a locally owned business that genuinely cares about its team and communitySound like you?
