Deli Manager

Job Title: Deli Department Manager

Department: Deli

Reports To: Store Director

Job Function:

To protect company assets, monitor training and assist in developing department associates, ensure compliance for accurate pricing standards, maintain customer service levels, achieve department productivity and payroll goals, ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and related governmental regulations, adhere to company security policies and procedures, ensure proper usage and maintenance of equipment and the control and usage of supplies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all associates are properly trained
• Oversee all ordering, inventory, scheduling in the department
• Obtain desired financial results based on goals set by the Company
• Make sure all associates are following company procedures in regards to safe food handling and all safety issues.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with and willingness to comply with all company policies pertaining to the position, including punctual and reliable attendance.
• The ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency.
• Knowledgeable with the various types of products carried in the store, and their location.
• The ability to perform all duties and responsibilities in an efficient and satisfactory manner that meets minimum standards for productivity, accuracy, cleanliness, harmony and safety.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift heavy objects occasionally.
• Possess sufficient physical mobility and agility to respond quickly to fire or other emergencies.
